Urban Lighting
Urban Lighting is the main factor of energy consumption and carbon dioxide (CO2) release, in any city which generates also significant respective costs in their annually budget. At the same time, the residents require more and better lighting, which is directly connected with safety. Indal approaches the Urban Lighting projects and the above issues with a methodology, named “Municipality Lighting MasterPlan” which is an integrated plan, covering the different areas of a city (from downtown to suburbs) and the various elements of the city’s “scene” (roads, buildings, monumental, parks, squares etc.), aiming to maximize energy saving and minimize other related costs to lighting.
Its main objectives are:
- Upgrade lighting quality and minimize lighting pollution
- Increase safety
- Decrease energy consumption and related costs
Municipality Lighting MasterPlan process
- Registration & Mapping – Gather & register information on the existing lighting equipment. Evaluation of current situation, draw conclusions, list remarks .
- Study – Proposals – Elaboration of photometry in order to reconcile the elements of the current situation. Draft proposals of upgrading and replacement of existing lighting installation and integration of smart systems management.
- Completion of Detailed – Design Prepare financial budget calculations based on annual energy savings. Prepare the full study and documentation needed for funding via subsidized or not, funding programs.
